Walter D. "Deano" Brogdon, 69, of Mishawaka, passed away at 4:45 am, Friday, June 8, 2012 in home. Deano was born on June 19, 1942 in Mishawaka, the son of James and Edna (Zook) Brogdon.
He is survived by his loving wife, Barbara Brogdon; six children, Kimberly Kay Porter of Mishawaka, Misty Sue (Ron) Clemons of Walkerton, Walter D. Brogdon, Jr., of Mississippi, Tamra Sue (David) Grosse of New Paris, IN, Faith Ann Slayton of Elkhart and David Alan Lawrence of Goshen; 15 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. He is also survived by two brothers, Earl Brogdon of Elkhart and Edward (Maxine) Brogdon of Mishawaka. He is preceded in death by his parents, first wife, Darlene Kay Brogdon, two sons, Richard James and Dean Allen Brogdon, three sisters, and two brothers.
Deano is a graduate of Mishawaka High School and proudly served in the Navy. He worked for Bremen Glass for over 30 years before retiring. He is a member of the American Legion Post 308, Osceola. He also was a security guard at local malls.
