Wanda Lee Mumford

February 05, 1928 – January 07, 2024

Mumford, Wanda Lee Coonfare, died peacefully Sunday, January 7, 2024 in Mishawaka, IN while surrounded by her family.  She was 95 years old.  She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Roy Clark Mumford.  She is survived by a son, Louis Paul Mumford (Nancy) of Niles, MI and a daughter, Susan Angela Caldwell (Rick) of Hurricane, WV; grandchildren Terry Schadler (Linda) of Niles, MI, Robin Kilmartin (Wyatt) of Hebron, KY, and Anna Caldwell of Hurricane, WV; three great grandchildren Drew, Caden, and Evan; and half siblings Delbert Coonfare of Missouri and Nona Schneider of Michigan.

Wanda was born on February 5, 1928.  Her mother died when she was 4 years old.  She was raised by her Grandmother Tappan.  She attended Mishawaka High School and married Roy in 1948.  She was the office manager of Roy's business, Mumford Construction, for 35 years.  She was a loving housewife and mother who always put the needs of others in front of her own.  She loved dogs and always had one in the house as a favorite pet.  She had a love for music and enjoyed playing the organ at her church.  She was an amazing cook who enjoyed baking.  Her greatest joy in life was serving her family.

Visitation for Wanda will be held Thursday, January 11, 2024 from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm at Chapel Hill Funeral Home, Osceola, Indiana with a service starting at 1:30 pm. Interment immediately following at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Alzheimer's Association, 225 N.
