Wayne Lee Jordan, age 64, of Mishawaka passed away at his home on Saturday, January 24, 2015. Wayne was born November 3, 1950 to the late Alvin and Mary (Bizzaro-Carlson) Jordan in Cuba, New York. The 1968 graduate of Portville Central High School married Ms. Marsha Switzer on June 12, 1971 in Portville, New York.
Marsha survives, along with their daughter, Stacey (Mitchell) Jordan-Donica of Mishawaka. Also surviving are his granddaughters, Angelina and Mya. Wayne is survived as well by his siblings, Donald (Annette) Jordan of Portville, NY, Thomas (Susan) Jordan of Bolivar, NY, Kenneth (Linda) Jordan of Wellsville, NY, Neil (Brenda) Jordan of Portville, NY and Kathy (Dale) Goodell of Eldred, PA. He is also survived by his in-laws, Frank and Vivian Switzer of Port Allegheny, PA, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 4-8 pm Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at Chapel Hill Funeral Home in Osceola. There will also be one hour of calling prior to the 11 am funeral service on Thursday, January 29, 2015 at Willow Creek United Methodist Church, 14010 Jefferson Boulevard, Mishawaka, Indiana, 46545. Interment will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola.
Wayne was employed as a service manager at Montgomery Ward, Goodyear, Angel Automotive, the Car Doctor, and Perry Automotive. He and his wife belonged to a gun club in New York, and enjoyed shooting together. Wayne also loved hunting, NASCAR, and the Dallas Cowboys. He was a member at Willow Creek United Methodist Church in Mishawaka, where he served as a trustee, and his love for children led him to teach Sunday school, and Vacation Bible School.
