The loving and generous life we celebrate.
In Loving Memory of William B. Jewell
February 11, 1947 – February 11, 2025
William B. Jewell, 78, passed away unexpectedly on February 11, 2025, with his beloved wife, Shirley Jewell, by his side. Born on January 11, 1947, in Kokomo, Indiana, to the late Albert and Winifred (Butler) Jewell, Bill's life was a testament to resilience, hard work, and the power of bringing people together.
From an early age, Bill learned the value of dedication and perseverance, working in the mills, where he honed the strong work ethic that would define his career. Throughout his life, Bill was known for his immense talents and his ability to light up any room. Whether it was through his love of karaoke, card tricks, or his magical ability to bring people together, Bill always found ways to connect with others. His enthusiasm for life was contagious, and his spirit enriched all who knew him.
A devoted fan of Notre Dame, Bill's loyalty and passion for the team were unmatched, and his presence at every game was as strong as his commitment to his family and friends. Bill was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather, and his absence will be deeply felt by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Bill is survived by his loving wife, Shirley Jewell; Kristal Pyle, David (Carolyn) Jewell, Robert (Latisha) Lawson, and Michelle (Rich) Lawson-Fairfield and numerous grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, William "Buddy" Jewell Jr., and his daughter, Tania Lawson.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, February 20, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Chapel Hill Funeral Home in Osceola, IN. The funeral service will be at 1:00 PM with James Lawson officiating, with interment at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Osceola immediately following.
Bill's legacy of love, laughter, and loyalty will continue to inspire all those who had the honor of crossing his path. His memory will forever live in our hearts.
