William Avery Johnson, Sr., 80, of Elkhart, entered into eternal rest on June 4, 2022. He was born on July 31, 1941 to the late Paul and Anna Belle Johnson in Earl Park, IN. William was known for telling some bad dad jokes. He loved his antique tractors, would often watch racing, and enjoyed wood working. William was a family man and spending time with them was very important to him. He was always willing to lend a helping hand and was a very giving person.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Glenna Johnson.

He is survived by his children, John (Lisa) Johnson, William (Genna) Johnson, Jr., and Andrew (Jenn) Johnson; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; 1 brother; and 4 sisters.

Visitation will be held on Friday, June 10, 2022 from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM with the Funeral Service to begin at 1:00 PM at Chapel Hill Funeral Home,10776 McKinley Hwy., Osceola, IN 46561. Burial will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
