William S. "Dub" McDonald, 74, of Niles, passed away at 10:30 pm, Wednesday, May 4, 2011 in the Sanctuary at Holy Cross. Dub was born on February 26, 1937 in Florence, AL, the son of the late Charlie and Mary (Croslin) McDonald. He was the youngest of six. On July 30, 1955, he married Delores Clayton, who passed away on November 8, 2002. He loved to spend time with his family and in the outdoors.
He is survived by four children, Larry McDonald of Niles, William (Paula) McDonald of South Bend, Peggy (David) Nellans of Mishawaka and Derek (Jamie) McDonald of Niles, eight grandchildren, Melissa McDonald, Jason McDonald, Benjamin McDonald, Missy Kozin, Kelly Molenda, Gail Nellans, Dakota McDonald and Kaitlyn McDonald. He is also survived by four great grandchildren, Lincoln Molenda, Mason Molenda, Annalise Kozin and William Kozin.
Visitation will be held from 5:00-8:00 pm, Friday, May 6, 2011 in Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Highway, Osceola. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 am, Saturday, May 7, 2011 in the funeral home with burial to follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola.
