David Wells, 80, of Mishawaka, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday August 21, 2022. He was born on December 30, 1941 in Mishawaka to Alberto O. and MaBele (Evans) Wells. He married Phyllis Ashley on August 6, 2011.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Phyllis; his daughter, Tracy Ann Taylor; 2 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; a sister, Martha Jean Hopkins, also survives.

He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 sisters, Marjorie Huston and Janice Sue Clark; and a brother, James Edward Wells.

Mr. Wells went to church with his wife at Gethsemane Church of God,  Bishop John Brown, Jr.  The last remarks will be by his wife evangelist Phyllis L. Wells. He enjoyed riding his bike and walking.  He loved to spend time sightseeing.  One of his favorite places was the California wilderness.

A funeral service in his honor will be on Wednesday August 31, 2022 at noon at Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Hwy., Osceola, IN 46561. Last remarks will be by his wife, Evangelist Phyllis Louise Wells. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.

The celebration will continue at The Fellowship House, 1438 Calvert St, South Bend, Indiana.

Friends may visit with the family for an hour prior to the service.
