Wilma Samuels Poorman Dunning, 90, of South Bend, passed away on April 14, 2026. She was born to Arthur W. & Ruth I. (Porath) Samuels, in South Bend, Indiana on August 11, 1935.

She married James Poorman on February 14, 1953, and they were married until his passing in 1986. Wilma married Jimmy L. Dunning on May 19, 1992, and they were married until his passing in 2002.

Wilma was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, her son-in-law Charles Richart III, and siblings; twin brother Willard Samuels, Clifford Samuels, Andrew Samuels, Robert Samuels, Buren Samuels, Donald Samuels, Pearl Merckson, Isabelle Samuels, Donnabelle Brockie, Viola Wood, Violet Samuels, in-laws William & Jane Martin.

She is survived by her Children; John, Diane, William (Gail) Poorman, Jeanette Richart, Robert Poorman, her siblings; Patricia Samuels Ditsch, Aubrey Samuels, daughter-in-law Anita Poorman, 7 grandchildren, and 20 great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Cornerstone Church Building Fund, 308 S. Byrkit, Mishawaka, IN 46544, in her memory.

A gathering will be held Thursday, April 23, 2026, at Cornerstone Church from 10am to 11am. A memorial service will immediately follow the gathering. A graveside service will take place at a later date.
